It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to conceptualize and complete the book you have inside of you. Maybe you want targeted guidance for your writing and your career. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world and you need a partner to help you do it. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story can make all the difference.

If ever there was a person who lives and breathes the publishing industry, it’s me. I hold a bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, from Georgia State University and a master’s degree in Publishing from Kingston University in London, England. There, I specialized in Diversity + Inclusion in the Digital Age of Publishing, which comes in handy when working on racially charged or diversity-centric projects and book ideas. I also partner with select brands to host Diversity + Inclusion-centric sessions for brand growth and awareness. I’ve had the honor of working within the hallowed walls of the Big 5 global conglomerate publishers, as well as in phenomenal, award-winning indie and non-fiction houses such as Zed Books in the UK. And, even now, I partner with KN Literary Arts, HarperCollins Publishers and Hachette Book Group’s editorial teams—as well as with New York-based Lopez Talent Management—on specialized projects. I am a literary agent with a growing list of bold titles and have edited phenomenal big-name books, such as Zerlina Maxwell’s The End of White Politics (Hachette) and Paola Ramos’ Finding Latinx: In Search of the Voices Redefining Latino Identity (Knopf), among so many others. I’m also the author of my own book, The Other Americans: A Novel with more books on the horizon. My essays and short fiction have been published in Padmore Culture and Kingdoms in the Wild, respectively. And, I’ve been endorsed by publishers such as Penguin Random House, Catapult Press and W.W. Norton to read and review advance copies of many of their latest releases before they even hit the shelves, so I always have my ear to the ground on the next big trends in book writing and publishing—all the better for you.
